My Life As I See It - Drunken Nights Countdown #8

As we proceed to give you want you need, its number EIGHT on my countdown of what I think are some of my more dubious nights out with friends.

Don't even remember taking this picture, and also don't remember how it ended on this night

 #8: Meli and Eddie's B-Day at Toi

This particular incident took place on on October 22, 2005. It was a Saturday, and we wanted to celebrate Meli and Eddie's 22nd birthday, who share the same birthday. A bunch of kids met up at Meli's crib and have a prefunk before going to the club for some fun.

We went to downtown Seattle and got into Toi (doesn't exist any longer). Toi was a restaurant/lounge Their layout is like tables surrounding a big set of stairs that is right in the middle, and their dance floor is up on the second level. So I had a few drinks already before coming to Toi, and I felt fine, or so I thought. Don't remember too much of the details of all the shit that went down, but I do remember seeing or old buddy from middle school. It has been a while since we last talked since he moved to Seattle after our freshmen year of high school.

I first met David in 7th grade, as we were both in Choir class together. That class was mostly 6th graders as it was a beginners choir group in middle school. A lot of my close friends today, as we all went to the same middle school, would clown on me for it, but it was probably the easiest class I had to take. It also was nice to get out of class to go to other schools to sing and what not. Now by no means could I even sing good, but I learned to also not to sound horrible either. I enjoyed it in middle school, but back to the main focus.

Me and him had a drink and had one of those random drunk talks about life and what not, which is cool and all, but tends to happen to with some liquor in the system. Like I don't even remember much else, like who was all there, or other things like that, but I do have a vivid memory of this taking place on this night. Don't know the specifics of what was discussed, but I know we had a good talk about some aspect of life.

This would be about the only thing I could recall, as it another "BLACKOUT" type of night. I did write in my journal of this night, and the aftermath the next day. It seem that I had a pretty good time meeting up with people and drinks, but after a while had one too many. Next thing I would noticed is that I wake up on a couch and I tried to turn on the TV, but for some reason it wasn't working. I wasn't even sure whose house I crashed, until James came out like 45 mins later and filled me in on how my night ended. Myself and Eddie, the birthday boy, threw up that night, and while Eddie got home, I was forced to crash at James cause we both we fucked up in the same car, and it was either him or me. Probably was the better choice since it was his birthday. At this time, I had no car, so I would have to wait a while since James had to drive my ass home.

We chilled in his house in Renton, and his mom made us pho. While I was eating with James, my mom called me up to make sure I was ok. I told her that I was fine, and my brother told her what happened last night. Now for most people, pho is a good hangover food, since its a noodle soup and all. Now I enjoy pho a lil more than the next person since I'm Vietnamese, but I was barely able to eat that shit. Now I finished it since I wasn't tryin to offend his mom, but it took longer than it should had to eat that. Now for those that know me, I do eat pretty slow, but this was like longer than usual slowness. That, and was probably way too fucked up as I was dealing with the hangover and feeling sick, so it was hard to keep it down.

In the afternoon, James dropped me off at my house, and I chilled at home watching the Seahawks game, which they did win by the way. I was also hoping that I wouldn't get sick, cause I was feeling the aftermath of this drunken night.

Another interesting incident and go on to #7 on the next post coming soon.
